Reflect on a time when you paused to appreciate the beauty of nature, much like the speaker in “Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening.” Where were you, what did you notice, and how did that moment of stillness make you feel or change your perspective?

Prompt Response:  A time I appreciate the beauty of nature is when the sky is a different color other than blue. I notice that everything is a little bit calmer and everyone is taking in the beauty of the sky. The scenery makes me slow down and think about how beautiful the earth is.  Summary: Today in class we read more of Robert Frost poem  Reflection:   Today in class i learned the theme of Robert Frost poem

In the poem, the speaker and his neighbor meet each year to repair a wall. Describe a time when you had to set or respect a boundary with a friend, family member, or classmate. How did it help or hurt your connection with that person?

Prompt Response:  At a time I had to set a boundary with a family member because they felt like just because they were family they could talk to me badly. She was an adult and she was being disrespectful to me so I didn't show her any respect because if you want respect you have to give respect. So, I kindly let her know that I didn't like how she was being disrespectful and rude and we came to an agreement.  Summary: Today in class we did a common lit about Robert Frost poem Mending Wall.  Reflection: Today in class I learned the theme about Robert Frost poem Mending Wall.

Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?

Prompt Response:  Something that changes very quickly is how fast my life is going in high school. I feel like I was just in 8th grade getting ready to start my 9th grade year, this has changed my life because I don't feel 100 % ready to get into the real world and have to be an adult. This connects to Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" because my childhood before high school was gold but that can't stay forever. In the poem he used the seasons of the year to identify that change and life is a lot like season that change and continue to go circles but just different things are happening each cycle.  Summary: Today in class we read 2 poems by Robert Frost and did a worksheet.  Reflection:  Today in class I learned the tone of Robert Frost poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" which is factual.

As we think about our upcoming Vocabulary Monday, tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your faovorite word and how often do you use it?

In “Birches,” Robert Frost celebrates imagination as a way to escape life’s difficulties and reconnect with innocence. The speaker wishes to “get away from earth awhile” but also understands that he must eventually return to reality. Think about the role of imagination in your own life. How does imagination help you cope with challenges, boredom, or stress?

Prompt Response:   I use my Imagination to help cope with challenges, boredom, or stress I think about how I want my life to be when I get older and what I have to do to get there. this helps me when it's time to actually do what I need to so I can just do it and not have wasted time to figure it out.  Summary: Today in class we read the news by Robert Frost named Birches.  Reflection:  Today in class I learned about a deeper meaning about Robert Frost poem.

After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt Response:  A time I have faced a dangerous or high pressured situation is when I'm doing stunts with cheer. On the cheer squad we are doing stunting I am a flyer and I have to be very tight and concentrate on something other else than what's going on under me. If I try to see what's going on under me most likely I will freak myself out and fall and injure me or other people. The way I distract myself while I am in the air is that I will stare at a specific poster and count to 10.  Summary: Today in class we read a new story called "Out, Out--" by Robert Frost  Reflection:  Today in class I learned about a new poet which is Robert Frost.

Write about what you did over the Fall Break.

Prompt Response:  One thing I did over the Fall Break is I went to the MorehousexSpelman homecoming game/ block party. It was really fun to see how college kids have parties and football games. I also liked it because I planned on going to spelman college when I graduate so it was nice to see how it was going to be when I get out of college. So, when I get out of high school I know what to expect.  Summary: Today in class we did an assignment It's a comic book with lesson 4 vocabulary.  Reflection:  Today in class I learned some new vocabulary that I can use instead of basic words.

How do you find time to enjoy your day, even when you have a lot going on? Write about at least three specific things you do to enjoy small moments throughout your day.

Prompt Response:  When I have a lot going on I make sure I save time to just relax and do things that I really want to do. The three things that I enjoy during down time are watching YouTube, shopping, or scrolling on TikTok. On YouTube I watch motivational videos or YouTubers that vlog about their life. When I am shopping I look for all kinds of things that are going to better my life or that fits my new style. Scrolling on TikTok is by far the most entertaining thing because it makes me laugh, learn new things, and get a feel of what other people are going through.  Summary: Today in class the class finished up a paragraph on the text titled "Ambush" Reflection: Today in class I finished my paragraph.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

Prompt Response:  A time when someone had a lasting impact on me is when my mother told be I needed to start focusing on school. This impacted me because while in 7th grade I wasn't focused on school I was rolling with the crowd. But once I got into 8th grade I had to focus on what I wanted to do once I got out of high school and actually taking care of my grades and getting into extra curriculum that would help me exceed in school. And now I know what I want to do when I'm out of school and on track to graduate.  Summary: Today in class we started on an  argumentative paragraph on text titled "Ambush" Reflection:  Today in class I learned more about how to structure an argumentative paragraph.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone.

Prompt Response:  A time I have stepped out my comfort zone is starting to get comfortable ordering my food in public. I get really awkward when I have to talk to people about food because I don't want to be a bother. I also tend to order slow so I also feel like I am being pressured to hurry up and order my food so I won't be holding people up. And if my food gets messed up or not how I ordered it I ask my mom to ask them to fix it because I get scared and awkward.  Summary: Today in class we started a new argumentative paragraph based on a text.  Reflection:  Today in class I read a new short text called "Ambush".

But while I was there it was a creepy man standing outside the window as I was watching tv. It really felt like someone was watching me. Then out of know where he ended up inside of the house chasing me. The feeling I had in this dream was the same feeling I have in real life when someone is chasing me. Has he was chasing me I ran into a room with a closet hopping he wouldn’t find me, but he found me and was about to take me but I then woke up.  Summary: today in class we did vocabulary   Reflection:  today in class I learned new words
