After reading “Out, Out—” by Robert Frost, reflect on a time when you faced a dangerous or high-pressure situation that demanded your complete focus. What made the situation risky, and how did your concentration affect the outcome?

Prompt Response: A time I have faced a dangerous or high pressured situation is when I'm doing stunts with cheer. On the cheer squad we are doing stunting I am a flyer and I have to be very tight and concentrate on something other else than what's going on under me. If I try to see what's going on under me most likely I will freak myself out and fall and injure me or other people. The way I distract myself while I am in the air is that I will stare at a specific poster and count to 10.

Summary: Today in class we read a new story called "Out, Out--" by Robert Frost

Reflection: Today in class I learned about a new poet which is Robert Frost.

Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?
