Both poems by Robert Frost explore the passage of time and life’s changing moments. Write about a time when something in your life changed more quickly than you expected. How does this experience connect to Frost’s idea that “Nothing gold can stay”?
Prompt Response: Something that changes very quickly is how fast my life is going in high school. I feel like I was just in 8th grade getting ready to start my 9th grade year, this has changed my life because I don't feel 100 % ready to get into the real world and have to be an adult. This connects to Robert Frost's poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" because my childhood before high school was gold but that can't stay forever. In the poem he used the seasons of the year to identify that change and life is a lot like season that change and continue to go circles but just different things are happening each cycle.
