Prompt Response: Writing my rhetorical analysis essay helped me become more confident as a writer. At first, I felt unsure about how to analyze a complex speech, but planning the rhetorical situation and finding strong examples made it easier. Drafting and revising also helped because I improved my organization, evidence, and explanations. Now I feel more prepared to keep analyzing speeches and American Literature texts because I know what to look for, like tone, purpose, and rhetorical devices.

  Prompt Response:  A metaphor that I would use to describe my inner struggle is a Tug-of-war. I would use that because I feel like my brain and my heart are at odds right now. I never know what I want and it can get kinda frustrating at times because I don't want to come off as confusing or hard to work with because I change my mind so much. And it's like I want both of these things because they are both beneficial but I can't pick between the two.  Summary: Today in class we read two poems by Emily Dickinson and annotated it with the class.  Reflection:  Today in class I worked on my assignment that is due Friday.
