Describe a time that you had an encounter with a homeless person, either directly or indirectly. What did you think and how did it make you feel?

 Prompt Response: A time I encountered a homeless man is when me and my mom were getting wings for dinner and it was 2 homeless man and one of them asked my mom could she spare any change after she payed. My mom comes out and give him a dollar and the 2nd homeless man asked her for one but she didn't have any cash. He then starts to argue with my mom because he didn't get the dollar, so I asked my mom to give him the food I had in the car already but he didn't want it because he wanted a dollar. I was wondering why he didn't want the food because he probably hadn't ate yet. It made me feel like I wasn't doing enough because all I had was food I could give him. 

Summary: Today in class we read a new short story. 

Reflection: today in class I learned the meaning of Tramp.

Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

  Prompt Response:  A metaphor that I would use to describe my inner struggle is a Tug-of-war. I would use that because I feel like my brain and my heart are at odds right now. I never know what I want and it can get kinda frustrating at times because I don't want to come off as confusing or hard to work with because I change my mind so much. And it's like I want both of these things because they are both beneficial but I can't pick between the two.  Summary: Today in class we read two poems by Emily Dickinson and annotated it with the class.  Reflection:  Today in class I worked on my assignment that is due Friday.
