Prompt Response: One presentation that caught my attention was Karol. I liked her because she added plenty of details creative wise to her poster that matched her extended metaphor. Something I enjoyed about her presentation were her themes because I think of my friends as being a safe place. Something I learned from her presentation was that puffer fish stay together during a tide in the ocean. 

Summary: Today in class we presented her poems.

Reflection: Today in class I learned a lot of things about my peers in class.

Dickinson uses the metaphor of a funeral to describe her inner struggles. What metaphor would you use to describe your own mind?

  Prompt Response:  A metaphor that I would use to describe my inner struggle is a Tug-of-war. I would use that because I feel like my brain and my heart are at odds right now. I never know what I want and it can get kinda frustrating at times because I don't want to come off as confusing or hard to work with because I change my mind so much. And it's like I want both of these things because they are both beneficial but I can't pick between the two.  Summary: Today in class we read two poems by Emily Dickinson and annotated it with the class.  Reflection:  Today in class I worked on my assignment that is due Friday.
