After reading Lawrence Ferlinghetti's poem "Constantly Risking Absurdity," which explores the poet's daring craft, write about your most absurd personal experience. Describe a single, specific incident that felt ridiculously bold or foolish. Ensure your response is vivid, concise, and captures the essence of absurdity.
Prompt Response: My most absurd experience is once I was almost kidnapped. I was at a hotel sleepover with 2 other girls and we went downstairs to get more covers. In the lobby it was 4 grown men and they were African American and a while old man. The white old man asked me if I had a lighter and I told him i didn't have one so proceeded to ask the 2 other girls and they both said no. He then walked outside and the 4 men that were in the lobby asked us what he ask us and we told them, they kinda got frustrated because why are you asking kids if they have a lighter. The old man comes back into the lobby thinking the 4 man had left but they were still there. The old man asked us again did we have a lighter again because he thought we were lying. The 4 man stopped him and started to cuss him out because there are 4 older people in here you can ask. we ended up telling my friend mom and the old man drove off somewhere. If the man wasn't there that could have ended badly.
