Prompt Response: A metaphor that I would use to describe my inner struggle is a Tug-of-war. I would use that because I feel like my brain and my heart are at odds right now. I never know what I want and it can get kinda frustrating at times because I don't want to come off as confusing or hard to work with because I change my mind so much. And it's like I want both of these things because they are both beneficial but I can't pick between the two. Summary: Today in class we read two poems by Emily Dickinson and annotated it with the class. Reflection: Today in class I worked on my assignment that is due Friday.

Prompt Response: Something I don't fully understand is why bullying is a thing. Bullying is still happening in 2025 and it's getting out of hand. Bullying shouldn't be a thing because we are not all the same so of course we are going to be different in some way but that doesn't mean we bully people about it. And some of this can stem from jealousy and things going on at home but even at school teachers don't take it seriously. Summary: Today in class we presented the Origin Myth Poster. Reflection: Today in class I have seen a lot of different posters for origin myth.

Prompt Response: Something that I wish I had more of is more time to be a kid. I want to have more time to be a kid because when you're an adult you have to pay for a lot of stuff and deal with adult things. I would rather be a kid so I can have fun and don't have to worry about paying bills and car notes and just care about when the next function is going to be. Being a kid you can wake up when you want, use your own money for you and nothing else and just be a kid and do kid things. Summary: Today in class we watched the viking news. Reflection: Today In class I finished up on my origin myth and submitted the assignment.

Prompt Response: One of my most burning questions about life is why did scientists stop exploring the ocean. What did they see while they were exploring and what are they not telling us about the ocean. Another one of my most burning questions is what happens after life. Where do we go, What do we see, can we see past loved ones. These questions matter to me because things might happen dealing with the ocean and we won't know until later. And in the past I wanted to know how it's going to go. Summary: Today in class we started creating our own origin myth.. Reflection: Today in class I planned to create my own origin myth.

Prompt Response: A time I felt completely lost was my first day in math this year. When I am in math class I don't get the concept because we move so fast and I don't have time to actually process the information we just did. I am not the best person with math so I get very nervous when it's time to go to class or do a test with math. I plan on getting a tutor for math just so I can be prepared when a test comes up or when I don't understand a lesson. Summary: Today in class we presented projects from last week. Reflection: Today in class I learned a lot of different concepts with the story we read last week for the project.

Prompt Response: I have adapted to this course over the past week in a way I can understand origin myths and know that they are fictional. One strength that I have anticipated is the class work that we will be given and the stories that we read I will be able to analyze them. One challenge I will come across is the test we have I'm not the best at the test. For example with the test today I tend to forget what we go over when stressed or not fully prepared. Summary: Today in class we took a test about origin myth assessment. Reflection: Today in class I read a new origin myth story.

Prompt Response: A real-life situation in which jealousy negatively affected a relationship is when my old best friend stops being my friend because I had other friends. This friend told me if I am going to have other friends that we couldn't be friends anymore. I thought this was kinda weird because she had other friends and she hasn't talked to me in months. This affected our relationship because we are not close as we used to be and I really cared for her. We talk from time to time but it will never be the same like it used to be. Summary: Today in class we got into groups and read a story called "The Jealous Father" Reflection: Today I learned the moral lesson of the story we read which is jealousy can hurt you in the long run.
